What a bilingual AI receptionist can and can't do.
What Sofía does today, what she doesn't, and an example from a real call.
What she does well
- Answers in Spanish or English, and switches if the caller switches.
- Answers the usual questions from the information you approved: hours, prices, address.
- Books into your Google Calendar without overlapping busy times, and only confirms once the event exists.
- Takes messages with name, number and reason, and emails you the summary.
- Transfers urgent calls to your cell during business hours (Pro and Max).
- Recognizes the caller's number and offers it as the callback number.
What she doesn't do (yet)
- It doesn't invent prices, timelines or promises: if it isn't in your information, she takes a message.
- It doesn't send text messages yet.
- It doesn't take payments or deposits.
- It doesn't connect to booking systems other than Google Calendar, or book two appointments at the same time.
- It doesn't give medical, legal or financial advice.
- On very noisy lines she may ask the caller to repeat; she never guesses names or numbers.
A real example
In our demo call, Sofía checked the calendar before offering times, confirmed the number by reading it digit by digit, and only said "confirmed" after creating the appointment:
