How it works

From account to first call.

You do it yourself, at your own pace, no meetings. If you get stuck, email us and we'll help.

1. Create your account

Pick a plan and enter your email and business name. You get a link to come back to your account any time; there's no password to remember.

2. Set up your business

Seven short steps that save separately: your business (and your service area if you go to customers), services with price and length, hours, greeting, approved answers, contact and transfers. Every field has an example.

3. Connect Google Calendar

If you want Sofía to book, share your calendar with hola@usecontesta.com with permission to make changes. When you tap Check, we really test that we can read and create events (we create a test event and delete it right away).

4. Review what Sofía will use

Your account shows the exact summary: time zone, hours, services and lengths, notice, buffer between appointments, what happens after hours and when she transfers.

5. Start your trial

Add your card on the secure payment page to start the 14-day trial; nothing is charged during the trial. Setup, if it applies to you, is charged with the first monthly payment. This activation isn’t available yet: your setup stays saved, your trial won’t begin while you’re waiting, and we’ll email you when you can activate.

6. Test from your cell

We build your Contesta number. Call it from your cell and ask for an appointment: your customers notice nothing yet. Your account marks the test as passed once the call and summary come through.

7. Turn on forwarding

From the business phone, dial your carrier's code. Calls you don't answer go to Sofía; your number stays the same. To pause, turn forwarding off.

What changes for callers

If you answer, nothing. If you don't, instead of voicemail they hear Sofía: your business name, the virtual-assistant and recording notice, and a short question. If they speak English, she continues in English.
